Project one
Our group study a modern villa-Villa Muller by Adolf Loos. The villa is located on a site that is steeply sloping. The interior space is like a Raumplan, which is the famous theory by Adolf Loos, which means the arrangement of the rooms are like 3 dimensional plan. Rooms are at different heights and create different senses of scale. Circulation of this building is interesting as well. There are two sets of staircases. The main staircase is the normal domestic staircase from underground floor level to the upper floor. Another staircase makes a loop of the public and private rooms. After making the physical model, we realize the complexity of the over all building and enjoy this beauty of spacial complexity.
